Taking It Cheesy ... Crazy Tales of Alex & Spencer
Alex and I went on a fun field trip to the Raptor Center with his Pre-K class. We learned about owls, met a few in person, then walked the trails. It’s a good thing Alex and I had been there before, because the kids raced from bird to bird … I don’t think they actually looked at any of them!

We closed on the new house towards the end of April! We enjoyed the almost 3.5 years in our rental, but we are so happy to have our own house again!

 This yard looks so different now (I’m writing this in October!) We’ve cut down the cedar trees, encouraged the grass, built a tree house, and improved the deck. |

Spencer loved his time in KinderMusik! I’m sorry we had to stop going after we moved … life was just too busy!

Alex and Spencer were very brave at Liam’s petting zoo birthday party. I couldn’t believe they were willing and excited to hold so many different animals!!

Our Spring Breaks never line up, but since Alex was still in preschool, we were able to find a free day to meet with with Ms. Amanda, Cerys, and Ace at the Schiele Museum in Gastonia. After exploring the museum, we tried out a local park and had a picnic. It was such a fun day!

We also took a break from packing to go on a camping trip. The Uwharrie National Forest is only an hour from our house, so this was a great find for us! We hope to go back again soon!

In between the packing and cleaning and wall repair from 2 dirty boys and a dirty dog, we still managed to have a lot of fun!!

We went over to a friend’s house for a St. Patty’s Day treasure hunt and party. The kids followed clues that were written on shamrocks and discovered a pot of gold filled with candy and trinkets. What fun!

 This big boy loves helping me in the kitchen. He’s currently waiting for his bagel to toast so he can spread it with cream cheese. Yummy! |

We visited my mom and dad for a night before Easter weekend. We celebrated several birthdays (Grandma’s, Unk’s, and mine), checked on the tree house, hunted Easter eggs, drove the tractor, and explored the creek. It was a busy 24 hours! Both boys were fast asleep before we even hit the interstate to come home.
