Wacky Wednesday

In honor of Dr. Seuss’ birthday, Alex’s preschool had a Wacky Wednesday! Alex loved putting on crazy clothes and wearing my mom’s Dr. Seuss hat!

I think Alex’s favorite part was wearing two different shoes!

Spencer was sick, which explains the pile of tissues in his hand!

An Arm or a Leg?

I woke up to hear Spencer playing and singing in his crib the other morning. I checked the camera and saw this:

IMG_3142

Hmm, is that an arm or a leg sticking out from under the pillow? I kept watching and saw this next:

IMG_3143

Ok, so it was a leg. Why is he completely under the pillow though?

When it comes to Spencer, there is no point in even asking, “Why?” I love that crazy, crazy boy!

Spencer’s 1st Week of no Alex

When Alex started preschool last fall, Spencer was almost 14 months old. He wasn’t doing a lot of playing with Alex yet, and really had no idea he wasn’t around on the 2 days he went to school. This year, he was a bit confused when he woke up and couldn’t find Alex. Then, I think he was excited to have the house to himself! We took it easy this week and mostly did chores around the house and played. He’ll be starting Kindermusik soon, and since it’s so hard to find playgroups around here, we may do The Little Gym as well. We also tried out storytime at the library today and he loved it, so I think that will be a regular thing as well. I’m looking forward to my special Spencer time!

Spencer brought me Alex’s robe and said, “brrrr”.
IMG_2403
I think he was happy I didn’t have to wake him to bring Alex to school. Thanks, Daddy!

I guess Spencer thought Kovu was cold, because he covered him with blankets and towels while I folded clothes.

Surpisingly, Kovu cooperated for about 10 minutes!

Mr. Mischief

These days, Spencer is a handful! The boy is so sweet and so funny and so smart … but it gets him into trouble! Problem is, and I think I’ve mentioned it before, he finds “time-outs” to be funny. He is next to impossible to punish! Good thing he’s so cute … enjoy these funny moments from the past few weeks!

Spencer loves his “duck” towel (yes, we realized it’s a chick) so much that he wears it like a costume.

Hiding under the Lego table because I mentioned it was nap time.

Spencer seriously made me play this game for 10 minutes … and laughed every time!

My Crazy Life

Just a hodge-podge of photos to show how crazy life can be with these two fun-loving, super creative, adventurous, never-sitting-still boys!

Rockin’ out on the fire truck.

A favorite game these days – dump out the laundry (dirty or clean) and wear the basket.
IMG_0742
These baskets are also great hug snatchers!

Water cannons can’t get you wet with a bucket on your head.
IMG_0766
This happened while I was folding clothes in my room. Guess there are worse things they could have been up to…
IMG_0800
Alex was supposed to be in time-out. Spencer thinks time-outs are the best things ever, so he joined in.

Hugs!

This Little Dude … Part 2

After my post with the pictures of Spencer sitting in the over drawer, he did so much more crazy stuff! So, I decided to devote another post to Spencer’s true personality coming out. He keeps me on my toes, that’s for sure! If I’m busy with Alex or chores, he always finds a way to get my attention! (Ever wonder why he’s never fully clothed? He refuses to wear bibs, so we’re almost always taking clothes off after every meal.)

We we are upstairs in the office/playroom, Spencer loves to sit in the Mega Bloks table and beg for “ish” (goldfish). He’s just as obsessed as Alex was at this age!

What more can a boy want? Goldfish, a fruit pouch, and milk!

This is how Spencer entertained himself at Alex’s last soccer practice.

This picture makes me laugh out loud every time I see it. We were having a dance party and Spencer just started going crazy carrying things around the living room. If you’ve ever partied at our house, you know we love to run circles around the downstairs … this is Spencer’s version of the fun!

This is the best video ever. (If you are reading this blog post in the email, the videos won’t show … use this link instead http://youtu.be/vye1fw2uSPM)

How to Eat a Banana

Our boys have been banana crazy lately. Spencer loves them and will point to the fruit bowl and say, “babababa” when he wants one … which is really all day long. Once Spencer is eating one, Alex almost always wants one too. Here is how they were eaten the other night while I was trying to cook dinner:

Spencer was so excited about his banana that he had to lie down and eat it.

He then continued eating upside-down in the playroom.

Not to be out-done, Alex took his banana into the playroom for a “rest”.

Must be a good banana!

Anybody want to try their method?

This Little Dude

My little Spencer is such a handful these days! He is just full of confidence now that he’s been walking for a while. He also loves to be mischievous. You can see from the glint in his eye that’s he’s up to no good. Favorite things to do? Pull the safety covers out of electrical outlets and climb into things he has no business getting into. I mean, is the drawer under the stove really that exciting a place to play? Oh, and he loves to throw all his food to Kovu when he’d done eating. Good thing his smile lights up his entire face … that boy is just too cute!

IMG_0859.JPG (2)
The obsession with the drawer under the stove started with him pulling out my pans while I was cooking.
IMG_0874
Then, one day, he decided it was best to just climb in.
IMG_0878.JPG (2)
Then he got stuck. I wish I had gotten a picture with both of his feet in the air.
IMG_0889.JPG (2)
Today, he thought it’d be a good idea to climb into the (folded up) stroller while I was unloading groceries.
IMG_0854
Don’t worry, Mom, I’m not going to throw my yogurt bowl on the floor for Kovu.

Oh, she caught me.

Who Needs Clothes?

I went into Spencer’s room Saturday morning and found him without his shirt. Funny thing is, we put him to bed with a shirt on!

Dropping the evidence.

I’m sure he was wondering why I came in, then dashed out for my camera!
He did it again later in the day and I caught him in the act!

Chocolate Face

Things are slowing down in the Strunck household as we wait for Baby’s arrival! We ran errands and did lots of cleaning last weekend, and will probably do some more cleaning this weekend … then we sit around and wait!

At least I was able to capture this silly moment: Alex ate a HUGE chocolate chip cookie after running errands over the weekend. What a disaster! I had to treat and wash his shorts 3 times before all the chocolate came out!

Alex & His Alligator

Remember this little cutie? Alex was about 3.5 weeks old in this picture:

My how times have changed, and how babies grow into big boys! Alex still loves his mama alligator and baby alligator – he actually will not get into bed without checking that both are in bed with him. He also sleeps with the mama alligator as if she were a body pillow:

I can’t wait to take pictures of my two little boys with the alligators!

Being Silly for the Camera

In an effort to get out of the house during last week’s bout of illness, Alex and I walked around the mall, rode the choo-choo, and ate lunch at Chili’s Too. Here are a few fun pictures we took while were waiting on our food.

Just Because

I wish I could be inside Alex’s head for a day. I just have no idea where he gets his ideas from sometimes. Before bed last night, he got on the floor and “crashed” his truck on top of him. Of course, the ice cream he had 30 minutes before that could be to blame for that one.

IMG_7079

Then today, I opened up the back door so we could play in the yard, and he disappeared into the playroom. Next thing I know, he’s standing in the back yard like this:

My days are always interesting, that’s for sure!
